PRŒLIUM CUM FIGURIS
• Edition, woodcut, size 350 × 250 mm
• Large print, woodcut, 1200 × 800 mm
Inspired by the illustrations adorning the pages of certain incunabulum from the 15th century, Proelium cum figuris is a free reinterpretation of this ancient iconography, now recreated digitally using the Glyph Drawing software. The leporello-bound book also evokes its historical references, such as the Bayeux Tapestry. The edition is printed on both sides—recto and verso—creating a play of transparency that unfolds throughout the book.
Project in collaboration with Aline Jan & Sophie Leduc.
A special thanks to Bruno Souêtre.
(available on request)
