A transport pallet hand-carved during a three-day forest immersion.
Contrary to mechanized production lines capable of producing such an object in a few minutes, this pallet was made slowly and entirely by hand in the forest, using rudimentary hand tools (axe and knife).
This extended fabrication performance, lasting several days, is in tension with the industrial logics associated with this object, usually designed to be functional, consumable, and quickly replaceable.
Conceived as an anti–ready-made, the piece consists of manually reproducing an industrial object while leaving visible traces of gesture, effort, and slowness. A statement on materiality, time, and slowness in contrast to standardized production.
The entire process was filmed and presented as a short film.
